This April, Nostalgia sponsored a spring skiing trip to A-Basin. All 8 of the team members and leaders arrived in Breckenridge the evening before for a very lively dinner watching the Kentucky/Kansas NCAA basketball game at Eric’s Pizza before heading out to the condo in Keystone (these Nostalgia guys sure get around!).
Back in August of 2009, social work student Mark Godwin volunteered as a team leader for the Telluride Music Festival Camping Expedition. On that trip, the Nostalgia Team ventured into the Rockies for a week of camping, white water rafting and listening to some great music performances. Now a fully licensed Master of Social Work, Mark recently returned to Colorado to lead a team of Nostalgia’s participants on a spring skiing expedition to A-Basin.
The Women’s Group trip to Breckenridge was awesome!
Trip coordinated by Jessica Andrews and Gloria Cruz, Case Managers
Earlier this winter, Nostalgia sponsored its first all women’s expedition into the Rockies. Setting up home base at Breckenridge Ski Area, they stayed at a luxurious, slope side condo located just below PEAK 8 . The glacial mountain peaks were absolutely stunning, with alpine skiers carving s-turns just outside the window throughout the day. We prepared scrumptious and nutritious family style breakfasts and dinners, and later convened each night around the fireplace for hot chocolate, stories and shared experiences. Although the weather was snowy and cold, we managed to shop the beautiful historic main street of Breckenridge until we dropped.
